Roboflex is an industrial class exoskeletal robot, used for exercise, that is strong enough and light enough to be used interactively by humans. The exoskeletal arms and legs of the robot guide you through specific correct exercise movements (or vectors) and apply adjustable (gravity independent) force loads only along these correct vectors. By mechanically adjusting the variables load and time during specific sets of movements, Roboflex can be used to perform hundreds of exercises in any of four distinct categories; strength training; aerobic training; flexibility and abdominal training; and endurance capacity training. The total number of discrete exercises that one Roboflex can perform is greater and more diverse than the total number of separate exercises you can perform in a large health club. Roboflex is the only exercise system on Earth that can perform hundreds of exercises, in all four categories, on only one unit. |
This is the exoskeletal robotic system Lucian originally designed for NASA.
